So today I turned 35!

That means I am now closer to 40 than I am 30.

The good news is that life begins at 40, so I have that to look forward to and if it’s true I only have 5 years to wait and I’m taking the life begins bit as literal meaning I will be able to cry until I’m fed and then sleep a lot!

Mentally I feel 18, physically I feel 80.

It’s strange as you get older that birthdays just become a day like any other.

Birthdays have never been as memorable as my 26th birthday where I spent the whole day (and some of the next) in labour with the beautiful Billy who will be 9 tomorrow, now that was a birthday and a half that one!

I have however spent a lovely day shopping with the two other Mrs B’s – my mum in law and my sister in law, which has been wonderful.

Being a size 3 shoe has its advantages as I managed to bag two pairs of super cute boots for £6!

We had a lovely all you can eat Chinese for dinner. I take the term all you can eat as a challenge which was that successful I struggled to close my coat when we left.

I made it home just in time to collect Billy from school. Now we are waiting for Isla who really didn’t want to go to school this morning and tried to make Lynn (her chaperone) disappear with her fairy wand. Let’s hope she had a good day!
